Lakers Opening Week: Orange County Jerseys, Hats and Fan Gear
The Lakers host Denver on October 16 before opening the season against Golden State. Find verified Lakers gear at Sports Addict in Fountain Valley.
Lakers basketball is almost back for real. Los Angeles hosts the Denver Nuggets in its final preseason game on Friday, October 16, at 7:30 PM Pacific, then opens the regular season against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, October 21, at 7 PM Pacific. Both games are at Crypto.com Arena, according to the official NBA schedule. For Orange County fans, that creates a perfect week to check the closet, choose a game-day look and make sure the right size is actually available before heading north.
Opening week is bigger than a single night. A Lakers jersey works inside the arena, at a watch party and throughout the season. A snapback adds an easy purple-and-gold signal, while a hoodie gives you a practical layer for the trip home. Sports Addict carries officially licensed Lakers apparel, hats, collectibles and memorabilia, and every product named below was checked on its live page on October 13.
When Do the Lakers Play at Home?
The final preseason tune-up is Lakers–Nuggets on Friday, October 16, at 7:30 PM at Crypto.com Arena. The regular-season opener follows on Wednesday, October 21, at 7 PM against Golden State. If you are driving from Fountain Valley or elsewhere in Orange County, allow time for weekday traffic, parking and arena entry. Recheck the NBA schedule before leaving because game details can change.
Start with a Lakers Jersey
A player jersey is still the clearest game-day centerpiece. The Austin Reaves #15 yellow Nike Swingman jersey was orderable in X-large when checked, with both shipping and eligible Fountain Valley pickup shown. Its gold body, purple-and-white trim and familiar Lakers wordmark make it an easy choice for opening night. This is also the exact Sports Addict catalog jersey used as a reference for the featured image above.
Fans who prefer purple can look at the LeBron James #23 Jordan Brand purple Swingman jersey. X-large was the orderable size when checked, and the product page displayed shipping and eligible pickup. Because jersey sizes can sell quickly before a major home game, use the live size selector instead of assuming every option shown in a photo is available.
Add a Championship Hat or a Comfortable Layer
The purple 2000–02 New Era 19TWENTY championship snapback was orderable with shipping and eligible pickup displayed. The adjustable fit makes it simpler than a fitted cap when you are shopping for someone else. Its Lakers championship patch, three trophy years and black brim are preserved in the featured image from the real catalog reference.
For cooler evenings, the Lakers Team Legacy Mitchell & Ness hooded sweatshirt was orderable in large, X-large and 2X-large when checked. The live page showed both fulfillment choices. Fans who want a lighter option can choose the Luka Dončić Chalked Up Mitchell & Ness shirt, which was orderable in medium through 2X-large with shipping and eligible pickup displayed.

Shipping or Fountain Valley Pickup?
Choose the option shown on the item you actually want. If pickup is offered, place the order and wait for confirmation before traveling; the pickup instructions explain the process. If you are outside Orange County or shopping for a later game, select shipping when available and review the delivery estimate at checkout. An order placed close to tipoff should never be assumed ready until the store confirms it.
Shop the Lakers team page, confirm your size and fulfillment choice, then get ready for Denver on Friday and the Warriors on opening night. Purple and gold season is here.
